Max Eisenhardt/Magneto

Max Eisenhardt was sent to Auschwitz, a concentration camp, at a young age. He watched as his family were tortured and killed by the Nazis. However, as if that was not torture enough he was a member of Sonderkommando, which is a group of Jewish men who are forced to manage the gas chambers, fire pits, and ovens on the campgrounds by their Nazi owners. Max met his wife future wife, Magda, while in Auschwitz. After the Holocaust, they were married and had a daughter named Anya. They lived a peaceful, happy life for a little while.

Now, I must tell you Max is not a normal person, he was born with his powers to control any magnetic metal in or on the earth. Everyday people call others who are born with powers of any sort mutants and the general population usually hates them.  The first time Max knowingly used his power were when his home caught fire. He tried to save his family from the burning house and saved everyone but Anya. This caused the neighbors to turn against Max and go after him. Max went after the humans and killed them all. Magda then left him, leaving Max with no wife or daughter.

After having such an awful time with humans, Max decides he wants to separate all mutants from the humans by either creating a world for just mutants or ruling over them. He creates a name for himself, Magneto, in which he goes around causing chaos with the rest of the Brotherhood of Mutants.
